DescriptionInternal Posting Only Responsible for the operations of a large program or center at the university. Oversees staff, budgets, and projects.
  • Oversees a large department, program or center.
  • Manages budget and engages in strategic planning to ensure all goals are met.
  • Hires and directs the activities of staff.
  • Resolves personnel issues as they arise.
  • Engages in budget-planning, grant oversight, and policy development.
  • Implements new programs and projects and monitors ongoing activities of department or center.
  • Reviews department policies and processes and implements improvements as needed.
  • Represents department or center to internal and external constituents.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
Additional Duties
  • Manage systematic review of spending associated with endowments and major and leadership gifts.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on reporting for weekly donations and liaise with Communications team on acknowledgements.
  • Provide on-going review of holding accounts to ensure timely and accurate follow up (primarily non-endowment gifts).
  • Provide support in drafting, routing, advancing and recording gift agreements.
  • Oversee process associated with unfulfilled pledges (endowment and major gift) in consultation with development colleagues.
  • Tracking and management of specific programs that require additional information (i.e. Distinguished Scholars Program and future matches)
  • Other duties as assigned

QualificationsInternal Posting Only Bachelors and 5 years experience
Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
