University of Alabama at Birmingham is Hiring an EQUIPMENT MANAGER Near Birmingham, AL
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administers the equipment room for athletics including purchasing, inventory and distribution of equipment.
- Supervises equipment room staff and athletic equipment and football locker rooms and Athletic Department laundry room.
- Serves as liaison with Athletic Business Manager regarding equipment accounting issues and with official supplier of the Athletic Department
- Maintains familiarity of purchasing policies for both the department and university.
- Distributes equipment to student athletes and staff, fits equipment and inspects equipment for safety; reconditions equipment as necessary.
- Organizes travel plans for football equipment staff and organizes the physical transportation of equipment for all games
- Follows applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations; reports all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified with Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) preferred.
