The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB, Department of Med - Preventive Medicine is seeking a Researcher IV. The candidate will have the potential to lead manuscripts (as first-author) for publications that align with the research interests of the PI.

General Responsibilities

Working with a high degree of independence:

• To oversee projects within the laboratory
• To assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation of lab activities.
• To collect, enter, summarize, analyze, and interpret data.
• To contribute significantly to the planning/design of studies.
• To help develop long or short-term goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Annual Salary Range$47,486.40 - $85,000.00

• Doctorate in a related field
• OR Master's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
• OR Bachelor’s degree in related field and four (4) years of related experience
• OR Associate's degree in related field and six (6) years of related experience

Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

• Experience conducting literature reviews, writing, editing, and submitting manuscripts.
