The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for an academic autopsy pathologists due to a retirement and expansion of our autopsy case load at the UAB Regional Autopsy Center.
Required Qualifications
We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time, tenure earning/tenured position through the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine. The candidates should have an M.D. or D.O. or M.D. Ph.D., Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible for a license to practice medicine in Alabama. The successful candidate beyond starting Assistant Professors should have a national reputation in academic pathology and/or a track record of a competitive basic, translational, and/or clinically focused research program.
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty expertise in Autopsy/Forensic Pathology, Perinatal or Pediatric Pathology, Cardiovascular Pathology and/or Undergraduate Medical Education will be favorably considered.
