Laboratory:

Perform immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining using the Leica Bond platform. Perform histological procedures including accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining including special stains, and frozen tissue preparation, sectioning and H&E staining. Assist with research and development of new procedures and helps keep standard operating procedures and manuals current. Maintain and operate laboratory and histological equipment. Prepare reagents and solutions.

Administrative:

Maintain accurate tissue and slide records.Clean and maintain instruments and work areas.Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Requires the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy and accountability.Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to effectively use computer applications such a Excel, Word, Outlook email and calendar, and database software.
