The Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) serves as the first point of contact for the Women and Infants Service Line, requiring strong interpersonal and customer service skills. The PSC manages visitor access, communicates with nursing staff, relays messages, and addresses guest situations promptly. Responsibilities include monitoring security access, utilizing the EMR system, and performing basic administrative tasks (e.g., admissions, hearing screens, and chart management). The PSC also stocks supplies, assists staff, cleans equipment, and maintains the family area.

- High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year administrative experience.
- Ability to follow oral instructions
- Ability to read and write
- Basic Computer Skills
Responsibilities
- Answers call center phones and documents demographic information relating to the caller and the patient referenced in the call.
- Places the call in a queue for nursing follow-up as indicated
- Provides monitoring and assignment of images to the Trauma Image Repository as requested
- Obtains patient demographic sheets, or other paperwork as needed to assist with patient transfers and consults.
- Provides critical program communication to emergency or urgent hospital personnel through use of the emergency system to relay important inbound emergency transport information
- Performs other duties as assigned
