Summary of Job Duties:
The Fiscal Support Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of fiscal related tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program and for researching financial data and preparing reports. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), state and federal laws, and agency policy. (This is a grant funded position.)
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • General knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping processes and record keeping procedures.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Effective file organization, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Digital literacy skills to include proficient use of computer, the ability to type and perform data
entry operations, ability to create and share spreadsheets/documents, the ability to copy and
scan, and willingness to learn and use online payment and requisition software.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic.
2. Offer exemplary customer service to adult education staff, public patrons, and students.
3. Be familiar with adult education finance and budget policies.
4. Maintain accurate administrative records and submit required monthly reports.
5. Assist in ordering, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment.
6. Prepare all fiscal correspondence, reports, and forms as assigned by the program director.
7. Assist in maintaining an inventory list of fixed assets purchased with adult education funds.
8. Be capable of taking initiative and working independently to meet program needs.
9. Complete all required professional development activities to improve job-related skills.
10. Maintain communication with adult ed state finance team and local campus finance staff.
11. Attend and participate in monthly staff and advisory council meetings.
12. Performs other duties as assign.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another related field.
At least one year bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
