University of California - Los Angeles Health is Hiring a Research Fund Manager, Family Medicine Near Los Angeles, CA

Description

Under the general direction of the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Office (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other Department leaders and in concert with other research administrative staff, the Research Fund Manager bears primary responsibility for all post-award administration for intra/extramurally funded research awards for Departmental Principal Investigators (PIs).

Salary Range: $64800.00 - $137600.00 Annually

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in finance orrelated field, or equivalent experience.

High School Diploma.

5 years of research administrationexperience.

Interpersonal skills to effectivelycommunicate information in a timely, professional manner.

Ability to establish and maintaincooperative and effective working relationships with various stakeholders.

Ability to set priorities and completeongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions, to meetprogrammatic and financial needs.

Close attention to detail in afast-paced, fluctuating workload environment.

Demonstrated proficiency with Adobeand Microsoft suite software, especially Excel.

Strong writing skills in a variety ofstyles to draft persuasive text for a variety of audiences while ensuringadherence to funding sponsor's guidelines.

Demonstrated knowledge of effectivegrant funding processes, procedures and techniques

Ability to perform complex financialanalysis and customized reporting

Preferred:

Organization skills to create andmaintain administrative and financial files effectively.

Strong organization skills, ability toprioritize job functions, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously withmultiple proposal submission systems.

Experience preparing, managing, andprojecting budgets.

Mathematical skills for thepreparation of complex calculations and forecasts and to identify and resolvecomplicated financial scenarios.

Knowledge of and experience workingwith a variety of external sponsors, federal and state sponsors, privatefoundations, industry sponsors, etc.
