Job Summary
UCSF's Endocrine Clinical and Translational Research Center (ECTRC) is seeking a Clinical Research Supervisor. The duties for the role will include, but will not be limited to, supporting the management and coordinating the tasks of multiple clinical research studies, depending on their size and complexity; managing and reporting on study results; create, clean, update, and manage databases and comprehensive datasets and reports; supervise and coordinate staff work schedules, assist with training of CRCs and ACRCs; and assist the PI and sub-investigators with oversight of other research staff; manage Investigator's protocols in the Committee on Human Research online system, as well as renewals and modifications of protocol applications and the implementation of new studies; participate in the review and writing of protocols to ensure institutional review board approval within University compliance; help assure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies; oversee study data integrity; implement and maintain periodic quality control procedures; interface with departments to obtain UCSF approval prior to study initiation; maintain all regulatory documents; report study progress to investigators; participate in any internal and external audits or reviews of study protocols; and perform other duties as assigned. The incumbent will also assist with subject visits, training of the staff to improve the quality and efficiency of work, and assisting with data management.The incumbent will coordinate with the CRCs and act as an intermediary between services and departments while overseeing data and specimen management; assist with the consenting of study subjects; filing regulatory documents; coordinating subject visits; perform sample processing according to established and approved protocols; and shipment of samples as needed. The incumbent will also be working with multiple PIs in the endocrine division.

Department Description
The Endocrine Clinical and Translational Research Center (ECTRC) supports the clinical research endeavors for the UCSF Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. The ECTRC works closely with multiple faculty members and is led by Zoe Quandt, Kelly Wentworth, and Diana Alba. Approximately 40% of the time of this position is dedicated to clinical research mission related to the ECTRC. Approximately 50% of the time of this position involves oversight of clinical studies for the Hsiao Lab. The remainder of approximately 10% provides support for other research projects/PIs affiliated wit the ECTRC.The Hsiao lab is a translational research group within the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Institute for Human Genetics. Our work is focused on identifying the causes and potential treatments for metabolic bone diseases. Our clinical research program includes a series of clinical trials on rare diseases. The position will be part of our ongoing clinical trials group and involves a combination of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies.
