The Department of History of Art and Visual Culture at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach either during the academic year or Summer Session. We seek applications from outstanding candidates with experience to teach historic or contemporary period (see our list of courses) in the following visual cultures:
The members of the department are committed to the investigation of art and visual culture from a wide range of theoretical perspectives. We seek colleagues with secure knowledge of visual materials and demonstrated interest in examining such materials and related issues within contexts of culture and history. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching.
Internal candidates will be given priority consideration.
