University of California is Hiring a Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Near San Francisco, CA

Full TimeNights8 Hours This position does include occasional weekend shifts per schedule.The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care to our pediatric population. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams. Carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required. Performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

  • A minimum of one year of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department, or combined Pediatric/ Adult Emergency Department.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
  • Current American Heart Association PALS certification
  • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
