University of California is Hiring a Revenue Integrity Operations Manager Near San Francisco, CA

Full TimeDays8 Hours Monday-FridayThe Revenue Integrity Operations Manager utilizes expert knowledge in area of expertise to provide leadership and consultation across the organization, from strategic decision making, to project planning and excecution. Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of UCSF investments. Once strategy and structure is in place, the Revenue Integrity Manager will perform continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high quality Revenue Integrity solutions, processes, and provide an efficient framework towards continued success.
Directs and supervises the Service Line Specialists within the Revenue Management department. Under the direction of the Revenue Management Director, manages daily operations of the Service Line Specialists to ensure processes and activities are performed in a timely and efficient manner. Supports and monitors activities of all Service Line Specialists in the organization; monitors workload and project progress of specialists. Coordinates with the CDM Specialist Lead to ensure communication between teams, promotes efficiency and completion of shared team projects.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $151,600 - $227,400 (Annual Rate).

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Coding Certification (e.g., RHIA, CCS, etc.)
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in charge master maintenance, clinical charge capture, coding, government/third-party reimbursement, regulatory, or similar healthcare experience
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, concepts and policies and their impact throughout the organization, with an in-depth understanding of related functions and issues including coding, registration, billing, reimbursements, aging accounts, contractual adjustments, and charge capture. Experience with both facility and physician provider charging and coding
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and delegate assignments efficiently
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills with the ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork and cooperation across departments for effective problem solving, conflict resolution, support for organizational values and performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and interpret complex data and systems, to quickly identify problems and implement solutions
  • Ability to work effectively with leadership on establishing operational goals and providing for technological upgrades, tools and systems to maximize revenues
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to prepare and present reports and convey complex information and instructions in a clear, concise, and specific manner. Ability to cultivate a strong commitment to quality, teamwork, collaborative problem-solving, and achievement of objectives
  • Strong knowledge of metrics, analytics, and data synthesis in healthcare revenue cycle management and their use to identify trends, produce reliable forecasts and projections, and create reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of all relevant information technology, including systems, tools, applications, processes, and methodologies. Includes MS Office Suite, Epic and related modules and third party systems, SQL, Clarity.
  • Basic understanding of Lean/Kaizen methodologies
  • Epic (various) or obtain within one year of hire
