What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemistry TA - NON-Federal - Spring 2025 position at University of Central Arkansas?
TAs (teaching assistants) for Chemistry are students who have previously taken the course they want to TA for with an acceptable grade, though does not need to be the same professor. Candidates would like to help other students understand the purpose of experiments in Chemistry teaching labs and help faculty in the laboratory setting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Help faculty set up and put away equipment and chemicals
- Obtain supplies from the stockroom or dumbwaiter area when running low
- Answer student questions as necessary
- Help the faculty maintain lab safety and students practice good chemical hygiene practices (goggles over eyes, no food/drink in lab, proper lab attire, etc.)
- Potentially help faculty grade lab handouts.
