Job SummaryThis position leads implementation of a variety of student affairs activities, including orientation and onboarding programs for incoming students. Acts as the primary point of contact for student inquiries. Responsibilities
- Proposes, advocates, designs, and directs wellness programs and events, such as speaker series, educational workshops, and awareness-raising and community-building events that focus on improving the well-being of MBA and Masters students.
- Takes a leadership role in providing advice and counsel to the administration on health and wellness issues within the student community.
- Oversees the Wellness Fellows Program, a student leadership program to support wellness programming, for the Full-Time MBA program, and creates opportunities for student involvement across programs.
- Engages with student leadership (and students in general) in the Full-Time, Evening, and Weekend MBA programs to solicit feedback and ensure programming and communications are responsive to student needs.
- Manages wellness marketing plan and materials for wellness programming and awareness campaigns.
- Researches and stays attuned to corporate and higher education wellness trends to ensure we are aligned with best practices.
- In concert with Booth’s Dean of Students, liaise with the UChicago Student Wellness Office to collaborate on programming and keep up-to-date on University-wide health and wellness offerings.
- Assesses and recommends the resources (funding, staff, space, etc.) that are needed to support health and wellness programming. Requests resources through the Chicago Booth budgetary allocation process.
- Supports the Student Life team with special projects as assigned.
- Leads and recommends process improvements for programs that relate to critical student-life improvement, including emergency management, accommodations for students with disabilities, and/or the administration of health care services and programs for students.
- Collaborates with academic divisions in educating students on safety issues. Interprets student disciplinary issues and prepares an annual university summary of disciplinary actions. Counsels students, parents, and staff in response to concerns, and handles complex situations including student crises.
- Performs other related work as needed.

- Master’s degree.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and proficiency in utilizing design services such as Canva.
- Proficient using a variety of media and e-technology platforms for presentations and programs, including in-person and virtual (such as webinars via Zoom or other platforms etc.).
- Demonstrated ability in program and event planning, implementation, and assessment.
- Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Work independently with little supervision; possess a self-motivated disposition; identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives resulting in desired outcomes.
- Handle multiple detailed tasks/projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, as well as with students, faculty and corporate contacts in a multitude of communication methods i.e., in person, email, phone.
- Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a customer service-oriented approach.
- Work at both the Chicago Booth Harper Center in Hyde Park and the Chicago Booth Gleacher Center in downtown Chicago.
- Staff and work extended hours for student events, occasionally on the evening and weekends.
- This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
