Structure

The Associate Director, Central Programs, is an exempt (salaried) position employed by the University of Cincinnati Foundation (UCF) and reports to the Assistant Vice President, Donor Relations and Signature Events.

Focus

The Associate Director will partner with Donor Relations & Signature Events, Principal Giving, Gift Planning and National teams on program/project management, providing strategic program and operations support.

Specific Duties

  • Provides strategic program and operations support for the central development teams - Donor Relations & Signature Events, Principal Giving, Gift Planning, and National.
  • Partners with Donor Relations & Signature Events, Principal Giving, Gift Planning and National teams on program/project management, which includes, but is not limited to: data management, integration with foundation CRM system, supporting collaborative projects, donor stewardship, giving societies fulfillment, signature events, touchpoints and warming strategies, Provide and Protect Seminars, wills guide request follows up, trust and estate support, check requests, expense reports, and more.
  • Attends Top 40 strategy session meetings and prepares thorough meeting minutes and updates donor plans in Blackbaud CRM.
  • Works within a team function that supports both UC and UC Health development teams and institutional priorities.
  • Researches, identifies, and summarizes data using Tableau and/or Blackbaud for reports to help establish program directions, assess results, and provide pertinent information to decision makers as needed.
  • Serves as a key resource for program information. Resolve problems or questions, especially for college and central development offices. 
  • Handles confidential information and correspondence.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience, or advanced degree with 2-3 years of experience. Experience in higher education and/or development preferred.
  • Ability to manage large-scale initiatives and/or complex projects.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including a customer service orientation and ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple progress.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as project management software.
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the University of Cincinnati, UC Health and the mission of the UC Foundation.
  • Occasional availability to help with events during the evening.

Physical Demands

This position is considered to have light work. Exerting up to 20lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up a negligible of force constantly to move objects. This position also requires:

  • Repetitive motion of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, this position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
