University of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: Obstetrics and GynecologyJob Title: CME and Events CoordinatorPosition #: '00804288 – Requisition #:33850Job Summary:This full-time position is responsible for planning and overseeing department-specific events, seminars, and trainings for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This includes a variety of Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses, including larger events throughout the year at offsite locations including the Department’s annual Vail Ob-Gyn Conference, Holiday Party, and Department Retreats, and Graduation Banquet. This position will work in a collaborative, close relationship with marketing, faculty, and department staff to establish the schedules and work processes that contribute to the ongoing development, analysis and evaluations of existing and proposed educational programs and events within the Department.
In conjunction with multiple Education Core faculty, this position assists with planning, coordinating, developing and implementing the processes for CME-accredited events, the department faculty mentorship program, and opioid trainings within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Position includes our regular CME and resident and fellows series, plus various educational lectures and meetings within the department both on campus and at off site locations. Position coordinates and implements faculty and staff development opportunities, and summer workshops.

Work Location:Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of #1-2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in hospitality management, communications, public relations, business administration, healthcare administration, or other related field.
  • Two (2) years of professional-level experience.
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis, but not for the specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with University of Colorado procurement systems (i.e. Concur, Marketplace, etc.).
  • Experience booking travel arrangements (airfare, hotel, rental cars, etc.).
  • Meeting and event planning experience.

Anticipated Pay Range:The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $52,961 - $67,367The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
