University of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery ScienceJob Title: Research Services Professional (Part-time 60% FTE) Position: #00791119 – Requisition: #34061Job Summary:CYSHCNet, the national health systems research network for children and youth with special healthcare needs based at the University of Colorado and ACCORDS, is searching for a Part-time (60% FTE/ 24 hours per week) Research Services professional to assist with projects related to health systems research, work with lived experience research partners, and work with network leadership on initiatives to train future research partners.
This is a position through ACCORDS that involves working with Principal Investigators to execute and manage the day-to-day work of one or more health services research projects within a national child health systems research network, as well as working with network leaders and managers to assist with administrative tasks related to the Network. Research project activities involve working with study leaders, research project participants and families on qualitative and survey-based data collection, designing and maintaining data collection instruments, participating in data analysis, and writing reports and dissemination products related to project findings. Additionally, working with investigators at other sites within the Network on research and educational projects may be involved. Current projects for this position include: 1) a review and analysis of measures of child quality of life, with future work to include development and maintenance of a measure database and measure adaptation and development; and 2) a Network emerging investigator program, with support for recruitment and selection of program candidates, delivery of an educational curriculum, works-in-progress sessions, and program evaluation. Administrative tasks involve managing independent contractors; initiating contracts, tracking and approving invoices, and budget monitoring; creating and maintaining reports related to study progress and budgeting; invoice processing and approval; and organizing and managing project and other network meetings.

Work Location:Remote – this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States and available for some in person meetings.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis
  • One (1) year clinical research or related experience working with principal investigators on health systems research projects (qualitative and/or quantitative), working with research participants and study teams
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters’s degree in public health or similar field
  • One (1) – Two (2) years relevant experience
  • Some degree of project management experience
  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative analysis software
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • A good knowledge of Excel and/or similar ways to keep track of data
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information

Anticipated Pay Range:The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $51,956 – $66,088 and will be pro-rated to a .6 FTE
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
