University of Dayton is Hiring an Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admission Near Dayton, OH
Position SummaryThe University of Dayton's Recruitment and Admissions department is hiring! We invite qualified applicants to apply for our Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admission opening! This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.
The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admission will support the Associate Director of Recruitment and Admission with event planning and the daily campus visit functions.
This position will collaborate with the Associate Director to support the hiring and retention of all student ambassadors. It will also manage ongoing training, review student employee job performance, and serve as a point of contact for the student ambassador leadership team. The Assistant Director provides admission presentations and admission and financial aid counseling to prospective students and families across all recruitment channels.
High energy, engaging, and flexibility are necessary for this position, as there is significant overnight, evening, and weekend work.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required with a minimum of at least two years of experience in admission, enrollment management, and event planning.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, can work independently, and have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, public speaking, and relationship management skills.
Valid drivers license with low risk driving record.
Experience with developing events and key programs to recruit students.
Strong organizational skills, ability to exercise judgment and prioritize a variety of tasks, and ability to work towards deadlines with accurate attention to detail.
Willing to work evenings and weekends during the recruitment cycle, as well as travel when necessary.
Preferred QualificationsWhile not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Previous experience managing student employees.
Experience with Salesforce, Banner, and other Event management, SIS, or CRM tools.
Demonstrated experience working with families and students of diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience coordinating complex events.
Knowledge of and appreciation for Catholic and Marianist values and philosophy of education.
