Accountant III

• Serve as an accounting resource for unit leadership, providing forecasting, accounting workload updates, and SWOT assessments. Compile, analyze, and present budgetary information. Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual budget.

• Prepare, review, and analyze reports and accounts. Monitor appropriateness and allocability of expenditures. Present monthly fiscal reports to the Center Director and faculty.

• Formulate, recommend, and implement fiscal/budgeting operating policies, control systems, and procedures. Train and supervise personnel in fiscal processes.

• Oversee all fiscal/purchasing functions. Approve deposits, invoices, purchase orders, travel authorizations/expense reports, and purchases. Investigate and analyze fiscal reports for errors.

• Manage awards, including cost sharing and grant/contract budgets. Coordinate fund transfers, assist with grant extensions and close-outs, and collaborate with relevant departments.

• Compile and report research expenditures. Manage UFARM fiscal function for the department. Coordinate and review personnel reporting systems. Serve as unit effort coordinator.

$52,500 to $62,500 commensurate with education and experience

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Supervisory experience, Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.

Development of revenue-generating methods, strategic forecasting, and project management.

Recommendation of new fiscal policies and procedures.
