Job Opening Summary

Manages the Employee Relations programs and Human Resources policies for UF Health Shands, UF Health Psychiatric Hospitals, UF Health Physicians and Ocala Neighborhood Hospital in order to promote and provide a strong employer-employee relations framework and environment. Maintains responsibility for interpretation of human resources policies, union contract language and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Investigates and responds to all FCHR, EEOC, civil or regulatory agencies and requests. Is responsible for managing employee activities, including employee recognition programs, annual employee Milestone Awards Banquet and Diversity celebrations.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management or related liberal arts discipline required.
• Master's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
• Proven experience in employee relations, HR management or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA and EEOC guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels of the organization.
