OPS Veterinary Care Technician
Job Description:Seeking a motivated, responsible, detail-oriented individual that is interested in learning more about Veterinary Medicine in a research setting. Individuals will be responsible for the daily clinical support of a canine colony including but not limited to husbandry and enrichment. Individuals will be expected to feed, administer medicine, perform basic housekeeping tasks, groom, train, and provide care. Some other tasks may include collecting biological and tissue specimens for diagnostic evaluations, record keeping, and other routine veterinary procedures.
Expected Salary:$12.00 per hour 15-20 hrs per week
Minimum Requirements:Prerequisites include previous work with animals and knowledge of basic husbandry.
Preferred Qualifications:Preferred experience specifically with canine handling, restraint and clinical care.
Special Instructions to Applicants:Looking for immediate hire. Hours vary from early morning to late evening, including weekends and holidays; typically work in 3-5 hour shifts; student schedules are taken into consideration.
