Job Description:The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learnings mission is to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and childcare. We research, develop, and scale equitable educational innovations for adults and children that put all learners on trajectories for lifelong success. Specifically, the Center targets kindergarten readiness, 3rd grade reading proficiency, and algebra proficiency as critical milestones in children's educational trajectory that are predictive of success in school and life. Responsibilities:
Production
Plan and execute video shoots, including setting up equipment, directing talent, and managing the shooting schedule.
Operate video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to capture high-quality footage.
Determines the production methods and implements those among the in-house production team.
Lead team in-studio and direct production.
Assist in coordinating the scheduling and maintenance of media production and distribution infrastructure.
Suggests the best solutions to meet project goals and keeps clients on task with reviews and updates.
Review progress and maintain up-to-date records for project tracking.
Post-Production
Facilitates post-production of project content through graphics, animations, special effects, music, and sound effects to enhance video quality and viewer engagement.
Coordinates the design of the graphic design/illustrations needed
Ensure final videos meet guidelines and technical specifications.
Collaborates with the SME to approve and deliver their multimedia resources.
Offer creative solutions to create and deliver high-quality and engaging digital content.
Content
Collaborate across teams with SMEs to develop video content ideas for teacher professional development sessions.
Create storyboards, scripts, and shot lists for video projects
Manage video content library, ensuring all assets are properly archived and easily accessible.
Process development
Develop new techniques, systems, and procedures to enhance operational issues.
Implement feedback from stakeholders to continually improve video quality and effectiveness.
Other duties as assigned
This position may be required to work outside these prescribed hours to accommodate demands during peak periods or other periods when deemed necessary.

To achieve this, the Lastinger Center offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule that aligns with the universitys Flexibility in the Workplace Policy. Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employees FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.
Will travel for assigned business purposes minimally (1-2/quarter)
Expected Salary:$26.34 - $28.74 hourly
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.In order to be considered, you must upload your cover letter and resume.
