Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist PI with writing research papers for journal submissions.
2. Maintain records of human subjects in research studies.
3. Provide support to PI with data analysis and interpretation.
4. Assist with developing a strategic plan, evaluation of progress, process, and outcomes, and creating data-based profiles for research studies.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (MQs):

1. Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
2. Have a background in Public Health, Psychology, Nutrition, and other related field.
3. U.S. citizen, U.S. National, permanent U.S. resident, or citizen of one of three U.S. Compact Nations (FSM, RMI, ROP).
4. Interest and/or dissertation/thesis topic related to cancer health disparities in the Pacific.
5. Demonstrated competency in general computer programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.).
6. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
7. Ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive material and information.
8. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
9. Must have strong organizational skills and be able to multitask.

Desirable Qualifications

1. Students of Pacific Island ancestry and/or students with significant experience (7 or more years) in the Pacific region will be granted priority
2. Working knowledge of SAS, R and other data analysis software
