University of Idaho Assistant Dean / LAWLocation: Moscow Division/College: College of Law Employee Category: Faculty Pay Range: $95,000 annually or higher commensurate on experience plus $8,000 stipend FTE: 1.0 Full/Part TimePosition Summary:The Moscow Assistant Dean of Student Affairs (ADSA) is a full-time, fiscal year, instructor position. In coordination with the Boise ADSA, the Moscow ADSA assists in developing and administering the College’s academic policies; advises students, both academically and personally; advises Student Bar Associations and law student organizations as needed; ensures that students are provided reasonable accommodations; and plans and implements orientation and ongoing professional development programming. This position serves law students on a daily basis by addressing student concerns and complaints and is an essential member of the College of Law’s senior leadership team. This position is also expected to teach a 2-credit course, according to the needs of the College and at the direction of the dean. Minimum Qualifications
A J.D. from an accredited school or the equivalent.
At least three years of experience in the legal profession, higher education, counseling, or human resources.
Experience creating a safe, welcoming, and dynamic learning environment of belonging for all students, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful completion of the bar exam in at least one U.S. state.
Experience working in a higher education setting, such as student services, academic support, or counseling.
Experience in budget management.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
