University of Idaho Gooding Co. Ext. 4-H Summer Aide
Location: Off Campus Location - Gooding County Extension Office Division/College: College of Agricultural & Life Sciences Employee Category: Student/Temporary Pay Range: $16.00 per hour FTE: Full/Part Time: Part Time Position Summary: Temporary/Summer 4-H aide will provide support to the 4-H coordinator in the form of general office duties and special projects, as requested, prior to and during the Gooding County Fair. Temporary 4-H aide may be asked to assist in activities held by the Gooding County Extension Youth educator or Community STEAM coordinator as assigned by 4-H coordinator. Minimum Qualifications: Experience:
Performing administrative or office support functions.
Using computer software and applications for word processing, email, and internet searches.
Participating on teams to accomplish shared goals.
Handling a variety of projects simultaneously that require attention to detail.
Working with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Organizational skills demonstrated through time management, communication, setting of goals, self-motivation, attention to detail and decision-making.
Ability and willingness to assist with creation of new 4-H programs and to work with youth in various settings.
Valid drivers license
Prior 4-H or youth development experience; some college education.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Lifting, carrying and/or otherwise moving office supplies (up to 40 pounds), moving about fairgrounds when necessary.
Must provide own transportation for some activities that involve travel to multiple work sites. University will follow applicable policies if personal vehicle is used which may include reimbursement at a pre-established rate.
