Position Summary

This position is responsible for the oversight and facilitation of the university'sprocurement of goods and services. They will advise and facilitate all areas of campus in the areas of bid solicitation, compliance and life-cycle cost analysis through various procurement methods.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three years providing financial or business process support within established policies and procedures which includes interpreting and applying policies and procedures; a Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or accounting may substitute for experience
• Supervising the work of others or leading a team to accomplish assigned goals
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial analysis
• Good mathematical skills
• Experience with training individuals or small groups
• Ability to recognize training needs and work with groups to improve processes
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment requiring high productivity
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of proper purchasing methods
• Experience with computerized purchasing systems, developing bid specifications, preparing requests for quotations/bids and researching sources of supply
• Experience of public procurement purchasing methods and procedures
• Knowledge of life cycle costing and value analysis
• Experience using Banner software
• Experience in the public sector or in higher education
