UI Health Care's Marketing and Communications department has an opening for a skilled Application Developer to join the Digital & Web team. The Web Team supports the organization's major consumer-facing web properties, including uihealthcare.org, uihc.org, and medicine.uiowa.edu. The Application Developer will partner in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of the development of these websites to serve our enterprise's patient care, research, and education goals.
This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location .
Position Responsibilities:
· Work with marketing colleagues to develop site features and functionality highlighting a particular clinic, service line, or service.
· Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications and pages for University of Iowa Health Care and its associated units . T his may entail ensuring navigation and informational integrity, writing customized web applications (server- and client-side), interacting with SQL data sources, and attending to accessibility guidelines.
· Work closely with constituents in concept and project development while providing non-technical constituents with a technical perspective.
· Provide expertise in technical and architectural SEO .
· Implement WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards for all applications and web pages to make University of Iowa Health Care's web properties accessible.
· Document applications, systems, and procedures .
· Follow web-based trends, applications, and technologies to help the University of Iowa Health Care become a leader in technology integration .
