Job SummaryThe Assistant Director of Academic Program Assessment is a part of the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness ( OSPIE ) which provides leadership, support, and coordination for several planning and assessment activities. The position will take an active role in the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive assessment plans encompassing an array of educational experiences, including academic programs, Quality Enhancement Plans ( QEP ), and the Core Curriculum. The position will support academic units in developing assessment plans and tools, and utilizing assessment data to strengthen various educational experiences, improve student learning outcomes, and inform strategic decision-making for continuous improvement. Support may include individual consultations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and offering themed workshops.
Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesProficiency with Microsoft suite and other data analysis/management tools e.g. SharePoint, Teams, SPSS , R, and Tableau.

Preferred Education/ExperienceA professional or educational background in learning outcomes assessment.
