Job Summary
The Institute for Biomedical Informatics is seeking a Biomedical Data Scientist Director Associate. This position is located in Frankfort, Kentucky, and will serve as a key researcher for the Office of Health Data and Analytics (OHDA) within the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
The position will guide research activities for OHDA by leading complex forms of data analysis, synthesizing findings in academic presentations and publications, identifying external funding opportunities, and facilitating proposal development. The Research Scientist Principal translates the findings of analytic work into materials that are accessible to audiences with a wide variety of familiarity and mastery of health policy, statistical, and analytics subject matter and engages in iterative and open communication with clients and other stakeholders to optimize research products for utility towards answering complex healthcare and social services questions. The position is expected to supervise junior staff and graduate students by assigning and monitoring projects as well as serving as a mentor to the students.

Doctorate degree and two (2) years of experience OR equivalent (below)
