Job SummaryThe Human Development Institute at the University of Kentucky is seeking to fill a Disability Program Administrator I position within the Community Work Transition Program ( CWTP ).
This position will serve as a Pre- ETS & Transition Navigator in the West (Green River/Western KY) Region of Kentucky. The preferred candidate for this position would live within or very close to this region.The CWTP provides rehabilitation staff and local school staff the training and technical assistance necessary to carry out Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act ( WIOA ) requirements. This position will provide technical assistance and coaching to employment specialists (ES), school staff, and vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies with an essential focus on pre-employment transition service and individualized transition services. This position will provide ongoing training to ES’s in recording information, activities, and invoices into the CWTP databases. Position will assist with ongoing consultations to VR agencies and participating school districts with process and procedures of CWTP timelines, and will assist with removing barriers of gaps of services being provided to students with disabilities. Position will assist CWTP Director and team in gathering needed information and in the dissemination of information, instruction, and resources.
Position will work from a remote home office location and necessitates some travel within assigned region and occasionally travel to another KY region (for CWTP team meetings, trainings, etc.)This position will advance the mission and strategic plan of the HDI through research, education, and outreach. This position will contribute to a workplace in which individual differences are recognized, appreciated, respected and responded to in ways that fully develop and utilize each person’s talents and strengths.

Preferred Education/ExperienceFormal training in special education, transition, or rehabilitation counseling; direct service experience providing pre- ETS , transition, or vocational rehabilitation supports.
