University of Louisiana Lafayette is Hiring a Coordinator of Football Operations Near Lafayette, LA

Position Title: Coordinator of Football Operations

Department: 8922|Football

Responsibilities:

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Coordinator of Football Operations. This position serves as the first point of contact for all Football Operations and will report directly to the Chief of Staff for Football. 

- Assist the Chief of Staff and the Head Football Coach with the day-to-day management and administration of all aspects of the Football staff and team as allowed by NCAA rules; including, but not limited to daily tasks and assignments such as travel, team activities, scheduling meetings, composing correspondence, follow up on requests for memorabilia of players/coaches, etc.
- Supervise and oversee the management/scheduling of select Football staff members and the student-workers in the Football office.
- Manage all Quarterback Club activities, solicitations, financials, and luncheons for donors and other University and community guests.
- Supervise and oversee all aspects of football camps and clinics.
- Assist with special events on game days, including recruiting visits, pregame and postgame, special dinners with the Head Coach, football banquets and social events for the Football program.
- Coordinates data input and updates of all current student athletes in the Football program.
- Serve as a liaison between football staff and coaches and the public, including managing access to the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches for public appearances.
- Serve as a liaison between football staff and business office for all elements of football operations.
- Prepare authorizations to travel for all member of the football staff for the purpose of traveling to all away competitions and recruiting travel.
- Secure travel advances and process all corresponding travel expense vouchers.
- Responsible for all elements of football team travel, including managing advances for the football program for all away, neutral, and post season games (commercial, charter and state pooling board).
- Assist with preparations and planning and functions of football pre-season camps.
- Oversee and coordinate team meals for home games, weekends, and University holidays/breaks. 
- Assist in the area of recruiting: assist the recruiting coordinator with official and unofficial visits and assist coaching staff with prospects and their families on official visit weekends, junior days, or any other recruiting function held on campus.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- One (1) year experience working in athletics at a college/university or comparable preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to working with multi-cultural populations.
- Have strong work ethic and be a person of high integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules as they apply to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics program.
- Ability to work extended daily hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- The incumbent is exposed daily to information of a highly confidential nature and must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.
