Position Information

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for two twelve months, full-time, grant funded one-year positions. Positions are subject to availability of funds. Anticipated started date is January 2, 2025. Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000.

Responsibilities

Work to develop a program in air quality observation and modeling.
Run the atmospheric and air/water quality Modeling.
Write proposal and scientific papers.
Assist PI with supervising M.S or Ph.D. students.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Oceanography, Atmosphere or Environmental Sciences.
Must have presented related work at a conference or have papers published or under review.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in numerical modeling experiences, particularly the air quality and water quality modeling, such as WRF or FVCOM model.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to write scientific papers and present the results at a conference
Ability to run atmospheric and air/water quality modeling
