*Clinical Practice:*

*Service/Quality:*
Assists in team development for Patient and Family Centered Care, gathers outcome-related data, and participates in Quality Improvement initiatives.
Contributes to Performance Improvement, Evidence-Based Practice, and unit-based research efforts.
*Unit Operations:*
Supports charge nurse decisions, aids in protocol development, and participates in unit-based activities.
Helps orient new nurses, contributes to skill development, and attends educational offerings.
*Professional Development:*
Acts as a preceptor, coach, and mentor, maintains competencies, and focuses on own professional growth.
Demonstrates leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
*Education & Experience:*
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Maryland or eligible under Compact state agreements.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience, with solid knowledge and skills.
Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing required, along with current BLS certification.
*Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:*
Proficient in maintaining required competencies, adhering to guidelines, and demonstrating effective communication.
Capable of practicing patient-centered care, displaying leadership qualities, and working effectively within a team.
Skilled in using computer systems, demonstrating appropriate patient care knowledge, and ensuring patient safety.
Patient Safety
Ensures patient safety during job performance and supports hospital initiatives to improve patient safety.
Takes corrective action when risks are identified, reports incidents, and maintains effective communication with the team.
