Job Description

General Summary

This is a critical leadership position in the Patient Financial Services Department responsible for the planning, organization, staffing and effective daily operation of the hospital billing and collection functions. This position is also responsible for maintaining the billed accounts receivable and the uncompensated care at targeted levels, and for compliance with all federal, state and payer requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in finance, healthcare or related field desirable. Five years progressive management experience in healthcare patient accounting preferably within a hospital setting. Thorough knowledge of HCFA regulations, compliance requirements, third party payer requirements.
