University of Maryland Medical System is Hiring a Lead Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Coord, RN Near Baltimore, MD

Job Description

The Senior Transplant Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating the development and maintenance of the Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center Transplant and Cellular Therapy (TCT) program. This position works closely with the TCT Medical Director and reports to the Associate Director of Transplant and Cellular Therapy. This leader will spearhead the team and programs that coordinate the care of stem cell transplant and cellular therapy candidates. The team includes data managers, other nurses, financial coordinators and office coordinators. The Senior Transplant Coordinator leads UMMC programs in collaboration with cellular drug therapy companies, the National Donor Program, the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy, and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Four years of experience in oncology nursing with exposure to blood and marrow transplant and cellular therapy is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
