**Garden Center Sales Associate**

**Lyndale Retail - Minneapolis, MN - Seasonal**

Job Duties:

* Work directly on the sales floor.

* Selling trees and shrubs.

* Consistently learning more about product knowledge.

* Assisting customers and answering questions to provide helpful information.

* Support sales clerks in selection of product.

* Provide accurate, timely and friendly service to both Bachmans customers and potential customers.

Qualifications:

* Demonstrates excellent customer service.

* Must be able to read and write English, perform basic math skills.

* High energy level.

* Demonstrated ability to follow through on work direction. Successfully complete 12 hours of formalized training.

* Work is performed in areas with weather extremes of heat and cold, and wet conditions.

* The position requires standing/walking on hard surface during the entire shift, working at a fast pace.

* Must be able to lift 50lbs. with frequent bending.

Schedule:

* Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays)

* Seasonal, April- December

Bachmans was founded in 1885 and remains a family-owned business, with fifth-generation Bachman family members leading the company today. Bachmans operates six full-service Floral, Gift & Garden Centers throughout the Twin Cities, a shop in the Galleria, a Hardscapes Center in Farmington, and 28 floral departments within Lunds & Byerlys grocery stores. Additionally, Bachmans operates indoor and outdoor landscaping divisions, a weddings and special events department, a wholesale nursery division, seven acres of greenhouses, and a 670-acre growing range in Lakeville, Minn., which produces many of the plants, flowers, and landscaping products sold by Bachmans today.
