Job DescriptionThe Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced Director I Finance.
Overview Of PositionDirects the operational, and financial activities of the Department of Medicine within the University system. This may include internal and external financial reporting, accounting, and auditing.
Job DutiesDirect and oversees the department's fiscal accounts, including internal and external revenue and expenses following the University policy and procedures. Works closely with Sr. Director and Chair to ensure alignment between the budget and department's strategic plan.
Prepare yearly annual budget for the department. Provide a high-level monthly variance which summarize key events, financial performance and any changes or trends affecting the budget.
Ensures the financial strategic direction aligns with department and school of medicine's goals and objectives, coordinates the necessary resources and monitors progress to ensure successful outcomes.
Build a cohesive financial team for the largest department in the School of Medicine and build relationships within and outside our organization.
Collaborates with external partners and other internal teams, working with colleagues to accomplish our school's mission.
Is accountability for the outcomes and achievements of a team within their designated team.
Shift
40 hours per week
Minimum QualificationsA Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $78,562 - $120,000 Annually
Grade: GGS-013
University Title: DIRECTOR I FINANCE
