What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post-doctoral fellow position at University of Missouri-Columbia?
Tips: This postdoctoral fellow position will work in the Dr. Bo Lu’s laboratory, located in the NextGen Precision Health building on the University of Missouri campus.
Responsibilities
This position will conduct NIH funded project studying the underlying mechanism by which immunotherapy combined with radiation induced myocarditis, particularly the role of Th17 cells and B cells in the pathogenesis of myocarditis and developing novel intervention for mitigation of immunotherapy and radiation-induced side effects.
The candidate will be responsible for performing cell culture, flow cytometry, adoptive cell transfer, Elisa and related immunological techniques in vitro and in vivo mouse model of myocarditis, maintaining accurate and organized records of experiments and results, presenting discovery at national and international meetings, preparing manuscripts and fellowship applications, and helping train new graduate students/lab members.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have a recent PhD in immunology, cell biology or a related field by the start of their appointment.
Candidates will be evaluated on:
- Proficiency in cellular biology and multicolor flow cytometry
- Previous experience with mouse handling
