The faculty and staff of University of New Mexico College of Nursing (CON) welcome you to a tradition of excellence in nursing research, education, and clinical practice. We represent the very best in quality and innovation within an academic environment.Our focus is on building evidence for effective practice and translating that evidence-based knowledge to practice and policy environments with an emphasis in rural health.

We are currently recruiting Temporary Part Time Faculty members for CON graduate programs. The primary focus is clinical or didactic teaching for 2023 and/or 2024 terms.

College of Nursing

The University Of New Mexico College of Nursing, located in Albuquerque, NM, ranks in the top 15% of nursing programs in the country.With over 1,000 enrolled students, the college offers pre- and post-licensure baccalaureate, masters, post-master, and doctoral programs.Program offerings include the state's premiere Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs; master's and post-master programs across seven concentrations for APRNs, nurse educators, and nurse administrators; and the New Mexico Nurse Education Consortium baccalaureate curriculum.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in nursing
  • 2 years of current relevant practice or education experience
  • Current New Mexico State Licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree
  • Experience as preceptor or clinical educator
  • 5 or more years as an APRN, Nurse-Midwife, Nurse Educator, or Nursing Administration
  • Experience with didactic teaching
  • Current national certification as an APRN or Nurse-Midwife
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
