University of North Carolina at Charlotte is Hiring a Director of Educational Partnerships Near Gastonia, NC

The primary purpose of the Director of Educational Partnerships is to provide outstanding support to faculty, schools, and community partners of the Cato College of Education and the Office of School and Community Partnerships. The Director of Educational Partnerships provides leadership to the Office of School and Community Partnerships and leads the development and organization of professional development, conferences, and events for faculty and school and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, and community partners to plan and implement professional development and conferences for aspiring and current educators.
  • Collaborate with school and community partners on opportunities for clinical and student teaching placement partnerships.
  • Serve as the College’s liaison with the Southwest Education Alliance.
  • Work collaboratively with groups on and off campus that share a commitment to effective professional development for educators.
  • Respond to requests for service from schools and the community.
  • Provide leadership, as needed, regarding faculty service to schools.
  • Serve as a member of the College of Education Leadership Council and other committees as deemed appropriate by Supervisor.
  • Provide leadership, as needed, in the Office of School and Community Partnerships.
  • Collaborates with and leads faculty/staff in OSCP and the Cato College of Education on diversity initiatives.
  • Provides leadership on the Cato College of Education Awards.

Qualifications

A terminal degree in education or an equivalent field is preferred along with 3 years of teaching experience.

The Director will demonstrate a combination of vision and creativity along with strong task management skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and in teams. A master’s degree in education or a closely related field is required. Professional experience in P-12 Education is required. Experience in planning and delivering professional development programs, event planning, contract management, and professional writing is desired. Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, organization, supervisory, writing, speaking and problem-solving skills are necessary.
