Position Summary | The Data Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive data management for two projects focused on maternal and child health in sub-Saharan Africa. The Data Manager will work with site teams to develop and manage study databases, conduct weekly QA/QC activities, oversee implementation of data management plan, and maintain data integrity and confidentiality throughout the study duration. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Education: - Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Public Health, Biostatistics, Data Science). Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management within clinical research. - Experience with REDCap and ODK database development and management. - Familiarity with clinical trial regulatory requirements and GCP guidelines. Skills: - Proficiency in data management software and tools (SAS, R, and/or Python) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and timelines. |
