University of North Dakota is Hiring an Admissions Specialist Near Grand Forks, ND

Description

The Admissions Information Specialist is responsible for the conversion of submitted applications to completed. The position is tasked with creating new student files, entering application data, imaging files and corresponding with applicants. In addition, the Admissions Specialist completes a review of admission requirements and credentials for academic preparedness, obtaining transcripts, test scores and other required materials as appropriate.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process admission applications
    • Download, review and enter application materials to process applicant files.
    • Evaluate student files to verify completeness and academic preparedness.
    • Track files to assure they are complete and communicate with students about missing or incomplete documents.
  • Admission of new students
    • Calculate and review GPA and test scores.
    • Send completed applications to appropriate departments for review.
    • Publish official decision letters.
    • Run reports, analyze data, and schedule communications for application materials.
  • Provide superior customer service and communication
    • Communicate via email, phone and in person with applicants, faculty and staff regarding application status.
    • Answer calls professionally and provide excellent customer service on behalf of the University.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years experience working in a professional office setting
  • Data entry experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree
  • Experience with PeopleSoft
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM
  • Experience with imaging system such as Perceptive Content
  • Experience directly related to college admissions

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$32,500 / year; non-exempt; benefited; full-time

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
