POSITION TITLE: Adjunct Hiring Pool - History Department
COMPENSATION RANGE: 1,080.00 - 1,300.00 per credit hour

This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2024 - Summer 2025.
This pool expires 05/31/2025. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2025, must reapply at that time.
Position Summary:
Temporary, part-time adjunct faculty in the Department of History. Online teaching opportunities may be available in the Department of History. Candidates must be available to teach face-to-face, not remotely.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in history or a Master's Degree with at least 18 credits of graduate history course work. Commitment to quality instruction at the college level is essential.
Preferred Requirements:
Doctorate in history. Past record of successful college-level teaching experience in history. For online teaching, one or more semesters' worth of online teaching experience. Experience using the Canvas platform and with courses that have received Quality Matters approval is advantageous.

TheDepartment of History maintains a pool of qualified applicants who may becontacted prior to each semester regarding staffing vacancies. If approved forthis hiring pool, you will be asked to renew your position on an annual basisduring the spring semester.

Employees at UNC receive sick leave, andother leave options may be available based on position. Full-time employees areeligible to receive tuition waiver benefits, as well as dependents and spousesof UNC Employeeswho are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduatedependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-statetuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be availablebased on position.

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
