Position Description :
The Purple Pathway for Paraeducators Program seeks applications for a temporary adjunct instructor starting in October - December 2024.
The duties of this position include supporting a virtual practicum experience in schools across Iowa as UNI students provide instruction with small groups of children receiving special education services.
The practicum supervisor should be available throughout the week to respond to student videos and provide feedback, connect with students via Zoom, periodically meet with them to plan and prepare using Zoom on Wednesday evenings and 2 Saturdays.
Education Requirements :
Master's or Doctorate degree in Special Education or related field (e.g. elementary education, teaching) required.
Required Qualifications :
At least 3 years of experience as a special educator in schools with experience in working with children with mild-moderate disabilities required.
Experience working with adult learners; experience working with GoReact software and virtual instruction; licensed special educator preferred.
