University of Northwestern is Hiring an Office coordinator Near Saint Paul, MN

Position Overview

The Life 97.3 Office Coordinator serves as first point of contact for guests, visitors, and friends of Life 97.3 KDNW in Duluth, MN and is responsible for a variety of office duties and tasks to help maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Manage new name acquisition initiatives, which includes working with the station manager and listener engagement director on NNA efforts;

maintain and update station mailing lists.

  • Answer phones, review station voice mailbox and e-mail accounts, respond to general questions and direct appropriately.
  • Greet guests and conduct tours of facilities in a welcoming and pleasant manner.
  • Prepare and process station correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain computer database and office files; prepare and process program affidavits and petty cash reports.
  • Maintain the Equal Employment Opportunity file.
  • Process all donation revenues. Receive and send all invoices for payment.
  • In cooperation with the Listener Engagement Director, assist in coordination of station events, both on and off site, representing station at key events as requested.
  • Along with the station manager, coordinate details of three major fundraisers each year, including building volunteer base, data management, lining up meals, and general preparedness.
  • Utilize Outlook to prepare and maintain monthly schedule / calendars.
  • Because our community is a significant part of our mission and the development of our students, all employees act as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ by actively partnering with the University to disciple students in growing intellectually and spiritually, and with Northwestern Media to lead people to Christ and nurture believers to mature in their faith.

Secondary job responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, promotional literature, kitchen, building, emergency supplies, and postage meter.
  • Assist with general cleaning of station.
  • Assist with miscellaneous duties as directed.

What will it take to succeed in this position? Minimum Education and Experience :

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Previous office support experience a minimum of 2 years preferred
  • Continually nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; serve as a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a kind, Christ-like attitude in dealing with and ministering to people within and outside of Northwestern;

and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, doctrinal statement, and Declaration of Christian Community.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, kind, and tactful manner
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently, without close supervision
  • Detail oriented with ability to prioritize projects and complete tasks accurately within deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills with proficiency in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills
  • Ability to pass a background check upon hire and periodically throughout the course of employment
