Schedule: Full-time, Varies 6:30AM-3:00PM
Salary Range: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour based on experience

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare food following recipes and portion control standards
• Utilize kitchen equipment and utensils for food preparation
• Serve food courteously with proper portion control
• Load and transport food items efficiently and safely
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
• Assist with special events across the University
• Support other food services staff when needed

Education/ExperienceJob Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED OR equivalent combination of education/experience
• 0-12 months of previous restaurant/customer service experience

Skills

• Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment
• Knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines
• Basic math and communication skills
• Understanding of nutrition and portion control
• Ability to handle varying workloads and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to lift objects up to 58 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
• Stand/walk for long periods in varying temperatures
• Exposure to chemicals, noxious odors, and physical strains
• Availability for night/weekend shifts and during University closings

Department Preferences

• ServSafe Certification and 6 months of restaurant kitchen experience

Supervision

• Receives general supervision from kitchen supervisor and restaurant manager

Special Instructions

• Subject to TB Testing policy and Hepatitis A Vaccine requirement
• Background check is mandatory for hiring
