- Organize patient schedules and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Escort patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist with transfers and preparations.
- Provide patient assistance with activities such as walking, dressing, and specimen collection.
- Gather patient information, take vitals, and perform screenings as per provider guidelines.
- Communicate instructions to patients and their families clearly and effectively.
- Handle patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
- Prepare patient rooms, set up equipment, and maintain cleanliness between visits for infection control.
- Manage inventory of supplies and restock exam/procedure rooms as needed.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs as required.
- Assist physicians with procedures and document patient information accurately.
- Answer phone calls, provide information, and offer patient education as directed.
- Obtain and manage lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information.
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, and update patient demographics.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and comply with regulatory agency requirements.
- Administer injectable medications and vaccines under physician supervision.
