Facilitates day-to-day operational and logistical recruiting processes. Develops and designs recruiting marketing, correspondence, and materials. Facilitates prospect recruiting campus visits. Assists in the development of scouting reports, management of student-athletes, and correspondence with alumni.
Athletics Administration
The University of Pittsburgh’s Athletics Department is currently seeking a qualified Director of Player Development and Operations. Duties include but are not limited to: - Assisting in the administration of the Women’s Softball team - Coordinating travel logistics (including aircraft, ground transportation, lodging and meals) for home and away contests - Coordinating all logistical aspects for home and away practices and games for the team and staff - Assists with all team-related events; Assist in management of player and staff schedules. Assist with alumni events, team newsletters and fundraising.
Essential FunctionsFacilitates day-to-day operational and logistical recruiting processes, including coaches’ recruiting plans, schedules, and travel arrangements; develops specialized recruiting projects for head coaches and assistant coaches. Develops and executes recruiting marketing and correspondence including, but not limited to, mail for game days, special events, and letters. Designs and creates creative recruiting materials for recruits and parents. Facilitates official and unofficial prospect recruiting campus visits; identifies and collects data and video on prospects; updates and maintains recruiting database. Assists coaches in the development of scouting reports. Assists coaching staff in the development and management of student-athletes; analyzes player data; assists in individual development plan for player development. Assists in maintaining alumni relations and directs alumni special events. Other duties as assigned by the head coach relating to the day-to-day operations of a Division I Softball program.
Physical EffortMust be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. May need to lift equipment, mail, or supplies up to 50 pounds.
