The Office of Strategic Communications, Health Sciences, is seeking a Director of Web Strategy.
Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Strategic Communications, Health Sciences, the successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in efforts to best position the Health Sciences and to tout the excellence of the six schools that fall under their umbrella - School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, School of Nursing and School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
The successful candidate must have an awareness of best practices and a commitment to them, ensuring a positive user experience, responsiveness, and search engine optimization, while working collaboratively within a high-functioning and talented team.

The successful candidate will be a creative, initiative-taking strategist and problem solver with a keen awareness of the foundational role websites play in a marketing communications infrastructure. Versatility, flexibility, and strong organization and communications skills will also be critical to the success of this role. Well-honed listening skills and an ability to keep the larger picture in mind while ensuring attention to the details will be critical. Personal integrity, diplomacy and a commitment to excellence are musts.
Job SummaryDevelops, facilitates, and implements targeted internal and external communications strategies to support the University. Executes multi-faceted, concurrent digital, web, and print projects with aplomb. Determines effectiveness of marketing strategies and communications initiatives; conducts informal and formal market surveys. Edits and writes communications pieces across mediums. Prepares budgetary reports.
Essential FunctionsSetting the strategic direction of the Health Sciences and School of Medicine websites to ensure they meet the needs of key audiences.
Serve as an effective tool to promote their incredible story towards an audience of prospective students, prospective researchers, legislators, prospective and current donors, corporations, foundations, alumni, and others.
Providing guidance for the websites of all schools within the Health Sciences.
Physical EffortThe ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
The ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
