Manages simultaneous, concurrent creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets. Develops and manages relationships with vendors or freelancers, creative personnel, and internal and external clients.

The Executive Director of Marketing and Engagement at the University of Pittsburgh School of Business holds a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and operational landscape of marketing and communications. This leadership position entails defining, refining, and executing the school's marketing strategy to advance its goals and objectives. Collaborating closely with the Dean's Office, this role is central to identifying priority focus areas and translating them into actionable initiatives. The Executive Director leads the Pitt Business Marketing and Communications team in delivering comprehensive, multi-platform marketing, and communication plans.
Essential FunctionsCollaborate with the Dean's Office to identify strategic priorities and initiatives that align with the school's vision and objectives. Engage stakeholders across student recruitment, career services, institutional culture, research, and executive education to formulate concrete goals for various initiatives. Direct the Pitt Business Marketing and Communications team to execute dynamic marketing and communication strategies across multiple platforms. Champion undergraduate and graduate recruitment efforts, including online programs, ensuring a compelling narrative and value proposition. Strategically communicate with faculty, staff, community partners, and other stakeholders to foster strong relationships and alignment. Foster the school's reputation among peer institutions nationally and within the University of Pittsburgh network. Manage public relations activities, emphasizing breaking news, alumni involvement, community engagement, and research initiatives.
Physical EffortThe incumbent may be required to lift packages or boxes in excess of 15 pounds at times. May also travel around campus to meet with key stakeholders. Position is mainly sedentary.
